Some facts:
As a child, Alfred was a sickly person.
He was so frail that his parents were
advised by the Doctor to move to the country.
He was too weak to attend school
and so was tutored at home by his Uncle.
What is so amazing is that he overcame his weaknesses, learned to fly, took
pictures in the most horrendous storms (his preferred conditions), crash landed
nine times (having to have his larynx removed after one of them), yet took the
most stunning pictures of aircraft, clouds, ships, waves and assorted panoramas.
